While the length of this action is a sign of the strength of our mouvement and our determination, every passing hour also confirms the government's attitude of silence and contempt towards education and the university community.
We have been marching now for five days and 5 nights, through sun, rain, and moonlight. We did not celebrate 100 hours, any more than we will celebrate 200.

ut we note that these 123 hours come in addition to the preceding eight weeks of strikes in the universities, and that neither Valérie Pécresse nor Xavier Darcos have bothered to really listen to those who live and work within this milieu and who are determined to be included in planning the future of education.

écresse and Darcos continue to pretend not to hear the strikers or not to understand what their strike is about, and insist that they have been right all along.
But the university community - teachers, researchers, students, personnel of the libraries and librarians, engineers, administrative personnel, technicians, physical plant workers - is not mistaken!
Obstinately, we feel that while these Ministers can no longer ignore us and our demands, they have not met the most basic of our requests.
Our march has been joined, every day and every night, by more and more universities, and by those from other sectors of society, all of whom walk part of the way with us.
We have been joined by marchers from the universities of Paris 1, Paris 2, Paris 3, Paris 4, Paris 5, Paris 6, Paris 7, Paris 10 Nanterre, Paris 11, Paris 12, Paris 13, the IUFM (teacher training institutes) of Paris and Bonneuil, the Ecole Normale Supérieure, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, the universities of Montpellier 3, Mulhouse, Reims, Metz, the collectives Sauvons l'Université and Sauvons la Recherche, not to mention innumerable sympathisers from the general population. Another "Ronde" was started in Poitiers, and the cities of Lille, Clermont-Ferrand, Lyon and Fort-de-France (Martinique) are preparing to start their own "Ronde".
We call on all citizens to show their solidarity by joining us in the "Ronde infinie des obstinés," the Infinite circle of obstinate objectors.
